Sri Ayutthaya @ Wangsa Maju

This is the first Thai food restaurant review
 Sri Ayutthaya @ Wangsa Maju
Based on the reviews I had read,
Sri Ayutthaya is a classy Thai restaurant.
I had been here for twice and I decided to write my humble review of this restaurant
(I am not a spicy food fan anyway but I’m obsessed to TOM YAM)

Coconut juice is a MUST I supposed?
To cool you down while having hot & spicy food

TOM YAM KAI
RM10.90
I will assume KAI in THAI means chicken.
The rationale is
Tom Yam Kung= Tom Yam Prawn
Tom Yam Thalay= Tom Yam Seafood

This is one of my favourite dishes.
I obsess with the spiciness & the sourness where it enlightens my boring taste buds.
At those normal Thai restaurants,
I can either taste the sourness or spiciness,
and it is like they can never be get along with others.

NOR-MAI-FARANG PHAD BEB THAI
RM18.90 (S)
Fried asparagus in Thai style
If you don't want you table full with spicy dishes,
this can be in your consideration.
And the asparagus is fresh!!!

HOI NANGROM SOHT
RM43.90 for half dozen
They are juicy and fresh
BUT small ='(
I had tried oyster which is much bigger and fresher than this
Hence, my opinion on this just moderate...

PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE
A recommended fried
I shall say this- Please Order!

LUK KAI SAN YANG LUK LAM JAI
RM31.90 (S)
Thai Roast Spring Chicken
Crispy chicken slices but a bit salty
Must couple with the white rice
They will be perfect match and make you add on another plate of rice =)

Besides,
we also ordered
KEONG KAEW WAAN KAI
RM 18.90 (S)
Green Curry Chicken

PHAD RAD BUAI BEB THAI
RM28.90 (S)
Fried Lotus Root with Thai Style

Overall,
this is a FANTASTIC restaurant!
You can give it a try =)
However, don't be shocked when you open the menu
They only put market price for the seafood.
So ask them before you proceed to order XD

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary of Thai words that I learned from the menu
Kung = Prawns
Kai = Chicken
Charern Arhan = Appetizer
Phark = Vegetables
Nuea = Beef
Poo Nim Oon = Soft Shell Crab
Yam = Kerabu

S.Wine @ Publika

Are you a pork lover or pork addict?
Then you can try this out with Ms.V <3

S.Wine Cafe
It locates at Publika.
This shop cannot be spotted easily as it hides in the supermarket,
you have to walk through all the shelves in the market then you will find it locates at the corner.

PIG IN THE BLANKET
RM 19
One of the famous dishes in this restaurant.
Each sausage is rolled by bacon.
They fry the bacon till it becomes crispy and roll it with sausage.
When you bite it, all you can say is
MEAT!!!!!!

THE ENGLISH FRY UP
RM 39
Look at the over easy eggs!!!!
The best to kick start my day <3
It serves with a complementary fresh orange juice & coffee
where you can choose any coffee their menu.

Why no Mocha???=(
Opted for Cappuccino at the end.

One thing must be emphasized is
They ameliorate the cooking style and try to ingratiate the Asian flavour.
For example,
SALTED VEGETABLE DUCK SOUP
RM 16
It comprises taufu, tomatoes, pork slices & salted vege.
Have you ever seen a Western-style-soup with salted vege?
The old man in my family loves this soup so much =)

EGG BENEDICT
RM16
In my honest & sincere opinion,
the egg is not the soul of this dish but the ham under it.
The egg yolk serves as a foil.
When you poke the pouched egg,
the egg yolk will flow over the ham and the bread.
It enhances the flavor!
You will fall in love with it definitely!!!

CLAYPOT PORK RIBS
RM 35
Another Asian style dish they provide.
Stewed pork ribs, dried shrimp, carrots, yams & water chestnut
in soya sauce, sprinkled with toasted macadamias
The taste is good though but Ms.V does not like yams ><

SAUSAGE & BACON CHUNKS
RM 28
Spaghetti tossed with Garlic Sausage and bacon chunks
with tomato-capsicum concasse with creme.

GARLIC SAUSAGE & ARUGULA SAUSAGE
RM 10 each
As I mention below,
you can buy them at their market.
I <3 Garlic Sausage.

After you feed your empty stomach and come out with maximum satisfaction,
you can buy those sausages or bacon at their fresh market.
Ms.V will not let this chance slip from my fingers.
Gonna grab some and make them as my breakfast to enlighten my dull working day!

Time to make my body move after having heavy breakfast!!!!
Then only I can continue my food journey w/o putting on weight <3
ROAWWWWWWW~

TSP's BD-Ganggangsullae @ Desa Sri Hartamas & Bricks & Barrels

Korean restaurant review by Ms.V this time.
Ganggang @ Desa Sri Hartamas
This Korean restaurant is recommended by my colleague, Mr.T.
Let's see whether the food is temptingly delicious alleged by him XD

As usual, mouth washing dishes are a MUST in Korean restaurants.
Most of the Korean restaurants will provide them for FREE.
Dazzling dishes!
This is one of the reasons why I obsessed with Korean food.
As those Hongkies always say:
大件kap抵食!
Generous portion XD

Ganggang provides variety of small dishes.
The way they present them is tempting as all the dishes are in different colours.
I read an article before and it stated that
the more colourful the food is,
the more people desire to eat it.
Whether it is nice, will leave to the judgement of our tongue XD

This is my favourite dish in the restaurant and my first time having this!
Because I was late that day,
I was unable to mark down its name =''(

If you love pork belly like I do,
I bet you will like this as well!
Other than pork belly,
they serve with carrot, octopus, jellyfish, lettuce & cucumber.

The purpose of this combination is
to avoid the greasiness of the meat to disguise our taste buds.
SUPERB!

You  can never miss BBQ in a Korean food.
For me, this is the soul of Korean dish.
However,
this BBQ pork meat disappointed me
because it was overcooked.
Overcooked meat will lost all its juices which it supposed to have!
A port meat w/o juices is just like a person w/o his soul.
EMPTY!

Seafood Steamboat
I think this steamboat is very much depend on the person.
I don't like it (it doesn't mean it is not nice)
because I think the seafood's unique flavour conquer the soup.
I prefer Kimchi steamboat with glass noddles =)

Seafood pancake
Honestly, it was too thick!
too floury ><

I side- ordered a kimchi soup
I will never be satisfied if I do not have a sip of Kimchi Soup.
It is a customary for me =)
Frankly,
I did not like it after the first sip,
it was....sour ><
However, after few minutes,
you can feel the spiciness spread over your mouth and throat.
It is not those aggressively spicy like Sichuan food.
Soft and gentle I would like to say.

Enough for food review,
time for a real celebration!
Cupcakes substituted original birthday cake.

Happy Birthday TSP!
one of the lovely LAs in my firm =)
Stay sweet always <3

The gang of the night

Next stop-
Bricks & Barrels

The city never sleep on Friday!

Random photo shoot on Mr.Iron Man & Dunbo

Such an innocent face!
Time to end my blog with this innocent face & continue my never-finished reading
XOXO

YS Birthday- Tanzini @ Upper Deck

After doing my "research",
finally I made my decision and picked this decent fine dining restaurant for
YS's Birthday Celebration <3

Tanzini @ Upper Deck
It located at 29th Floor of G tower.
A warm tip: If you never been to G tower before and you wish to navigate yourself by waze,
DO NOT TYPE G-TOWER!
It will bring you to somewhere around Pudu ><
two girls lost in the city ='(

"Echoing the fresh concept, Tanzini’s Upper Deck interior decoration reflects modern elegance. The Tanzini Upper Deck offers diners a unique fine dining experience right ‘under-the-stars’ with distinctive star-lights fixtures and spectacular views of Kuala Lumpur night cityscape."

Looking at the description of Tanzini's Upper Deck from its official website,
I could assure you that it is true =)
Modern Elegance + Spectacular Views

By walking through the restaurant,
the vanity of the girls diffused XD
(my heart was indeed bleeding!)

How can I miss out the chance to take photo with my Mr.Iron Man =)

 Birthday Girl!!!!
She is getting prettier and prettier when years go by <3
I'm glad you are here with me...
My travel partner, fine dining partner, shopping partner etc.

LET'S THE FEAST START!!!
When I scanned through the menu,
OWHHHH~
I would like to order the chef's recommendation
but my wallet stopped me by doing so!!!

HENCE,
stick with my original plan.
--3 COURSES MEAL--
Price: RM 216 per pax
(basically is 5 courses because there was another 2 courses which was not stated in the menu)

So sorry that I could not recall what was this.
It tasted like tuna.
This is the disadvantage of blogging after days =''(

SNOW CRAB
together with
sashimi, chilled cappellini, fermented black bean, foie gras otak otak, pickled seaweed & beet paper
After I did some read up,
Cappellini is a very thin variety of Italian pasta.
It is needless for me to make further explanation in foie gras.
The goodies in this dish!
Slurp!!!

DUCK VARIATIONS
Duck meats are shaped into a cube
there was some crispy duck bacon as well in the big bowl but turned soft in the veloute;
and salted-shaved into coarse powder form.

Veloute???
A type of sauce with tomato, Hollandaise Bechamel and espagnole,
which normally be the seasoning of French cuisine.

This bread is a complementary
I love it when it coupled with the vinegar and olive oil.
(I don't fancy pastry actually XD)

SORBET
Another complementary.
It was kinda refreshing, should be lime flavour if I was not mistaken!

 TONGUE 'N CHEEK
Braised Wagyu beef cheeks in Burgundy reduction sauce
served with braised turnip and orange ceviche.
Not really something I like...
the meat was too soft after soaking in the sauce for moments.
Still prefer medium rare tenderloin =)

QUAIL DISH
I did not know this dish well, so I did some research on it.
"The bird is imported from France, cooked partially,
then vacuum-sealed and chilled before it is finished in butter and soy in the pan.
Acidity is added to the dish by using watermelon rind, pickled in white balsamic vinegar."

I am not in the position to comment on this dish as YS was the one who ate it!

64 % CENT VALRHONA MANJARI
Dark Chocolate!
Those who know me well will know that I am not a sweet tooth.
I don't like cake, white chocolate, dessert etc.
However, dark chocolate is my favourite.
64% concentrated cocoa is totally my type of chocolate!

YAM & COMPLEMENTARY FLAVOURS
mousse, coconut fluff, gula melaka tapioca pearls, water chesnut
served with coconut fluff which is dehydrated, fresh chestnut carpaccio and tapioca pearls

The yam was too watery.
Not my type of dessert ><
but I like the tapioca pearls and only that!
LOL!

Basically, in my humble opinion,
this restaurant was overrating.
However, I do not mean they provides bad foods,
just not my cup of tea.
The ambiance was 100%!
Romantic fine dining restaurant with astonishing view.

Before I put a full stop in my blog,
my dear,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN!
Be a lovely & confidence lady  <3
